We got Phoebe as a kitten from a rescue foster home; the last one of her litter on account of her crusty eyes. She was an adventurer as a kitten but later became a home girl, seemingly anxious of the world outside and humans other than us. In later life she had lots of health problems so it’s fitting that she should support learning in veterinary medicine. She was so affectionate and a great comfort to me after my husband died. I miss her greatly but feel lucky to have had her in my life for nearly 17 years.
