Elvis Powell

Elvis belonged to my elderly neighbor Annie, who is sadly in hospital. She loved him very much and has had 4 happy years with him and his sister Priscilla. Priscilla misses him greatly, Elvis used to lick her head.

Henry Hayes

Henry was rescued from the streets of Bristol at the age of 7 years old. He was in a very poor mental and physical state and his trust in humans was at rock bottom. My wife and I adopted Henry and just gave him time and love to allow for his true loving and playful character to resurface.

A couple of years after Henry came into our lives my wife sadly passed away and Henry helped me to get through each day without her. Up to his final day, at the grand old age of 18 years old, he had shown us nothing but love and companionship. He was a sweet natured little dog apart from his hatred of the squeak in his toys. His personal best in permanently silencing them was 6 secs.

He is greatly missed by all who knew him and I am comforted to know that in death he is helping with the advancement of veterinary medicine.

Arthur Williams

Arthur was a 40th birthday present to myself and over his 14 years and 7 months he was my loyal shadow. He certainly made an impact ….. Sky cable, teddies (ear, arm, leg, tail), shoes (plural of shoe, singular of size or style), sofa arm, chair arms, bike saddles, bike tyres and let’s not forget his propensity for bin bags, lunch boxes and hunting out food sources as if he’d never been fed.  Arthur was a dog but human. He was a very special dog, he smiled, had a heart of gold and everyone loved him.  It gives me great comfort to know that his devotion to us and ours to him led him to have a long and happy life.  I’ll never meet the students but I know that Arthur will continue to make a big impact. Rest now Arthur, you’ve earnt it.

Aroma Friend

She never ceased to amaze us, even after she had a stroke, she just carried on regardless, initially with a lot of frustration on her part, however she was soon racing us up the stairs to go to bed.She was the last of her line, we had her Grandmother and mother, all of them were polydactyl. She will forever be missed and now has her own little statue in the garden.Thank you once again.Tony & Pip Friend
