Toffee Nixon

Toffee, originally a stray from Ireland, joined our family aged 4, as our first family dog.

She was adopted from the Forever Hounds Trust And was a beautiful collie cross lurcher who could run like the wind and had the eyesight of a hawk. Many a time she took after something she had spotted miles away – from boar and deers, to cats, and her favourites, foxes and squirrels! She never really took to other dogs but loved the two cats she lived with and knew they were different to the neighbours cats that to her were fair game, hence why she was walked on her lead a lot!

She was an amazing companion and loved by all who knew her. She never barked in the house, happily letting anyone in and was always more than happy to share your food, often without asking!

At the end when aged 15 she was diagnosed with Lymphoma and given 6 months to live, she amazed us all by continuing to love life for a further 27 months. Finally aged 17 and a half she let us know it was her time and passed peacefully away in her spot in the garden surrounded by love.

For us it is lovely to know even after her death Toffee will be helping so many others in the future.

Much loved by Ann-Marie, Jon, Emily and Jozef Nixon

George Gilleberg

George was my best companion for 14.5 years and our children’s playmate, friend and comforter.

He was such a gentle soul with so much character. He made our everyday life richer and better. We miss him very much. Run free our beautiful boy.

Lilly Evans

This photo was taken a couple of years ago – she would always hop up onto a seat next to us. Lilly came to us rescued from Romania about 4 yrs ago. She gave us much joy and many happy memories and we’re really pleased to think she is helping others in their studies.
