We found Anouk on a visit to Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary. Of course, we were only going to have a casual look, with no intention of making a quick decision, but Anouk had other ideas, and once we heard that she had been abandoned in the car park we had to give her a good home.
Like many pets she had a series of nicknames – Noukie, Noukie-Nouk, Fish Face, Furry Face – she responded to all of them, but she may have thought that these words were simple alternatives for ‘Food!’ She was an unfussy eater and never scratched the furniture, which was most considerate of her! We miss her focussed surveillance from a nearby desk whilst we ate our own food, and the coating of black hairs she left everywhere she went.
