Lex was rehomed to us via Greyhound Gap after his owner could no longer take care of him due to illness. He was a lovely silly boy and loved his toys, and he always asked so politely to be allowed on the sofa for a snuggle by lifting his paw. He had a couple of close encounters with death: once when he nearly severed his paw on a broken plant pot, and once when he had to be hospitalised for 10 days with pancreatitis and hepatitis. It was the latter that finally caught up with him: after 3 years the various drugs keeping him going stopped working and we had to let him go. He is reunited with Flash, Sky and Mouse now at the rainbow bridge and we miss him terribly.
